Banquete is a project by Cadu Tenório and Marcio Bulk based on the characteristic sonority explored by Tenório about Bulk's poems and lyrics.

The four songs, inspired by samba-canção — genre that came before bossa nova and is characterized by an extremely passional and romantic discourse — were originally composed and recorded with vocals and guitar, then deconstructed and recreated by Tenório. He had total freedom to modify and sometimes deny the harmonic and melodic structures by trying arrangements that have a straight dialogue with the lyrics and also with the singers' interpretations.

Some of the most important artists of the current Carioca scene were invited to turn the lyrics into songs and simultaneously interpretate them: Alice Caymmi, Bruno Cosentino, César Lacerda, Lívia Nestrovski, Michele Leal and Rafael Rocha.

Thus, Cadu Tenório and Marcio Bulk integrate themselves in a small but powerful group of Brazilian artists that, in the last few years, have been resignifying and contributing to the Brazilian music scene and, consequently, leading it to new paths.
